Benjamín Agüero Maradona is born on Thursday 19 February and weighs 3.660 kilos

Mr. Enrique Cerezo (President) and Mr. Miguel Ángel Gil Marín (Managing Director), on behalf of Club Atlético de Madrid and its social masses, would like to pass on their most sincere congratulations to Sergio Agüero for becoming a father. On Thursday evening, 19 February 2009, Benjamín Agüero Maradona was born at the Hospital Universitario Madrid Montepríncipe. The birth went normally and both the infant and his mother, Giannina Maradona, are in perfect condition.

It should be pointed out that the parents of Kun Agüero and Giannina Maradona are in Madrid and were with Benjamín’s parents from early in the morning on.

Doctor Sofía Alcalá Llorente, Head of the Obstetrics Unit and part of Doctor María Luisa Cano Vieco’s team, and who attended to the birth, along with Doctor Santiago Ruiz de Aguiar, Medical Director of the Hospital Universitario Madrid Montepríncipe, offered a medical report to inform on the details of the happy childbirth. In the communiqué, they explained that ‘Benjamín Agüero Maradona was born at 7 p.m. and weighed 3.660 kilos. The birth took place without complications and the state of the mother and the newborn child is satisfactory’.
